Drove to Soweto today. This was a somber day for me. I had so many emotions going thru my body. The city is not in as much poverty as it used to be, but boy I tell ya it makes you VERY grateful for what you have. We first dropped off clothes and other supplies to Children’s Orphanage. That was so heart wrenching. The kid's age ranged from 10 months to 10 years old. I stayed there about an hour or two, then had to go. Such angels...all of them. Then went to the Aparthied Museum, The June 1976 uprising museum to see how/why 600 African school children were killed..ugh I get so angry. I also went by Nelson Mandela's two homes, Winnie's current home, Desmond Tutu current home and to Freedom Square. We ended the day going thru the city of Soweto and eating at a woman's house she turned into a restaurant. Good food. Yall know I likes to eat!lol.
