I just want to say, I think EVERYBODY needs to take a trip to the motherland at least once in their lifetime. South Africa was amazing, beautiful, thought provoking, educational and so many other words I can use to describe.
It took a total of 20 hours and three time zones to get there. And let me tell you, airport security is NO JOKE! We had to be at all the airports at least 4 or 5 hours early just to get thru all that stuff. They REALLY search you! But I didnt complain, better safe than sorry.
Left from Orlando to Germany (10 hour flight) and spent the day there. It was snowing...cold. Frankfurt reminded me a lot of New York believe it or not. I met a guy on the train (I know, what am I doing roaming the streets of Germany). His name was Jens, but I kept calling him "Yentz"...lol. He showed me around and took me to a traditional German restaurant. I ate some kind of pork w/ saurkraut. It wasnt too bad. What I thought was cool, was you sit wherever there is a space to sit. There is not one or two people sitting at one table. It be 4 or 5 different folk who are complete strangers sitting by you at the same table. It's kinda like the "get in where you fit in" scenario.
